Parts at Play: Exploring Internal Family Systems through Theatrical Play and Somatic Expression
In this experiential workshop, psychotherapist Eve Mugar and theatre educator Josh Luckens invite you on a journey of playful self-discovery.
IFS/parts work offers an imaginative framework for bringing more compassion, acceptance, and understanding to the rich tapestry of your emotional world. Theatre and movement offer expressive tools for exploring the masks we wear and the parts we play, and for ultimately befriending, and in turn alchemizing, what you find there. Together, they create a space to see yourself through the lens of joy, curiosity, and kindness, all within a supportive community.
You'll be introduced to the core tenets of IFS, then use creative, connective theatre exercises to meet your parts on their feet. You'll leave with an embodied understanding of parts work as a powerful practice, one that helps you move more easefully and expressively through the complex landscape of this human experience.
No theatre or IFS experience needed — all are welcome!
