Eve Mugar, LCSW/LICSW
I’m a licensed psychotherapist specializing in helping individuals and couples find the keys to set themselves free from anxiety, trauma, self-criticism, relationship struggles, chronic pain and more.
After an earlier career in theatre as an actor, I spent time teaching yoga and meditation and discovered how meaningful it felt to support others in ways that created tangible shifts in their lives. That experience, combined with a deep interest in what it means to be human—to feel, to be alive, and to live with awareness—ultimately led me to the path of psychotherapy.
My own emotional, mental, and physical healing journey, along with a longstanding interest in studying and practicing Eastern wisdom traditions, has profoundly shaped how I understand healing and transformation. This work is not abstract to me. I know intimately the courage it can take to turn inward, as well as the patience required to create real, lasting change.
I genuinely love my work as a psychotherapist. It is deeply fulfilling to sit with people, to listen to their struggles, and to help illuminate a path forward. I believe that each of us carries the keys to our own freedom, and that sometimes we simply need thoughtful, attuned support to help us find them.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy writing, practicing yoga and meditation, spending time in nature, playing the piano, singing, and engaging with comedy through writing, watching, and performing! I am a lover of all forms of creative self-expression, and these pursuits continue to inform how I understand presence, resilience, and the human experience.
