As a child my love of theatre initially stemmed from the thrill of aliveness I experienced on stage. Later the love affair became about language and the beauty of exploring different characters through the unique way each human verbally expresses their experience of existence. In more recent years my love has been for devised theatre; a playful experience of bodies and minds un-self-consciously collaborating and trusting in the process of moment to moment invention.
As an actor I have the opportunity to explore what it means to connect with reality through the eyes of another being. As a theatre maker I have the opportunity to weave stories that will unite the audience in their communal understanding of the human experience. And if all I do is succeed in making people laugh-that is more than enough to make it all worth while.
